For the 16th consecutive year, 泫圖弝け of Utah 泫圖弝け has been recognized as a top ten performer in the 2025 Bernard A. Birnbaum, MD, Quality Leadership Ranking by U of U 泫圖弝け was ranked eighth of 1,220 participating comprehensive academic medical centers nationwide in the 2025 Vizient Quality and Accountability Ranking.
The comprehensive ranking recognizes academic medical centers for demonstrating excellence in delivering high-quality care based on the Vizient Quality and Accountability Study, conducted annually since 2005.

This year, 1,220 participating hospitals were segmented into seven cohorts for the Vizient Quality and Accountability Study. The study measures performance on the quality of patient care in six domains: safety, mortality, effectiveness, efficiency, patient centeredness and variation in care. The study factors in measures from the Vizient Clinical Data Base and includes performance data from the Hospital Consumer Assessment of 泫圖弝けcare Providers and Systems survey and the CDCs National 泫圖弝けcare Safety Network.
The Vizient Quality and Accountability Study helps participating hospitals and health systems understand their performance against their peers and identifies structures and processes associated with high performance in quality and safety across a broad spectrum of patient care activity. The recognition period is for work spanning July 1, 2024 through June 30, 2025.
In addition to its placement on the top performer list, U of U 泫圖弝け also ranked #4 nationally in Vizients Ambulatory Care Quality and Accountability Awards. U of U 泫圖弝け was one of only five facilities to be recognized in this category and is the eleventh year in a row that U of U 泫圖弝け has ranked in the top ten nationally for its ambulatory quality of care.

Recognitions were determined through the Vizient Ambulatory Quality and Accountability Study, which assesses data from participating facilities to measure performance in five domains: access to care, continuum of care, quality, efficiency and variation in care.
This year, 66 facilities participated in the performance study for work spanning July 1, 2024 through June 30, 2025. The composite scoring system uses practice- and patient-level data from the AAMC-Vizient Clinical Practice Solutions Center簧, Vizient Access and Throughput data and the Vizient Clinical Data Base.
